New Terrain Creative is a video production and paid media studio based in Los Angeles and Tampa. This page describes what information this website collects, why we collect it, who else processes it, and how to ask us to delete it. It is written to be read rather than to be impressive.
The only place this site asks you for anything is the founding partner application. If you complete it, we receive:
We use this to decide whether the founding programme is a fit and to have a useful first conversation. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone outside the processors listed below.
When you submit the application we also record the query string in the page address, which usually carries campaign tags telling us which ad you came from, and the address of the page that referred you.
We use third party tools that set cookies and collect usage data across the site:
When you click to buy, the checkout you open is linked to your earlier visits to this site and to any form you submitted, so we can follow up if you do not finish.
We keep the number of third parties small and use them for one job each.
The texting box in our booking form, and on our applications, is optional and unticked by default. Ticking it is not a condition of booking or applying and we will not treat you differently if you leave it alone. If you tick it, we may text you about your booking, your application and any call you book, and nothing else. Message frequency is low, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help. We do not share your mobile number or your texting consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing, and the processor that sends our texts uses them only to deliver them. The full texting terms are in our terms.
Separately from this website, we run a scheduling tool at post.newterraincreative.com that we use to plan and publish posts to social accounts we manage. Today those are our own: New Terrain Creative on Facebook and Instagram, the Instagram accounts for our own film and creative projects, and our YouTube channel. If we ever connect an account on someone else's behalf, we do it with their permission and everything below applies in the same way.
Connecting an account happens on the platform's own authorisation screen, Facebook's, Instagram's or Google's, never on ours. We do not ask for, receive, or store a social account password. Whoever authorised the connection can withdraw it at any time from their own account settings, without going through us.
When an account is connected, Meta gives us an access token and a limited set of information about that account:
We use this to schedule posts, publish them at the chosen time, and see how they did. We do not use it to build advertising audiences, we do not combine it with anything collected on this website, and we do not pass it to anyone outside the processors listed above.
Tokens and connected account records sit in our own database, hosted by Railway in the United States, and are read only by the scheduling tool. We keep them for as long as the account stays connected. Disconnecting an account inside the tool deletes its token and its record. Revoking access directly, under Settings then Apps and websites on Instagram or Settings then Business integrations on Facebook, invalidates the token on Meta's side straight away, and we delete our copy. If you want the data for a connected account removed, email business@newterraincreative.com and we will confirm once it is done.
Our scheduling tool also uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel to it you are agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
When a YouTube channel is connected, Google gives us an access token and a refresh token along with a limited set of information: the channel's ID, title and thumbnail, the videos we publish through the tool, and the analytics figures YouTube returns for them. We use this only to upload and schedule videos to that channel and to report back on how they performed. We do not use it to build advertising audiences, we do not combine it with anything collected on this website, and we do not pass it to anyone outside the processors listed above.
Google tokens sit in the same database as the rest, hosted by Railway in the United States, and are read only by the scheduling tool. You can revoke our access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which invalidates the token immediately on Google's side, and we delete our copy. Disconnecting the channel inside the tool does the same thing from our end. To have the stored data for a connected Google account deleted, email business@newterraincreative.com and we will confirm once it is done.
Applications arrive as email and stay in our inbox as part of our ordinary business correspondence. If we work together, that information becomes part of the client record. If we do not, you are welcome to ask us to delete it and we will.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email business@newterraincreative.com and we will handle it ourselves rather than route you through a form.
To limit advertising tracking specifically, you can adjust ad preferences in your Google account and your Meta account, use your browser's cookie controls, or enable Global Privacy Control, which we honour where our tools support it.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. Advertising cookies may count as sharing under California law, and the controls above are how you opt out. Exercising any of these rights costs you nothing and changes nothing about how we treat you.
If we change what we collect or which tools we use, we will update this page and change the date at the top. We are a small studio, so this will be a real edit rather than a version number.
